Dr. Kate Hawkins Chiropractor, BScKin , ART

Dr. Kate Hawkins received her Doctor of Chiropractic degree with Clinical Honors from the Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College in Toronto and Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology (Distinction) from the University of Alberta. Kate’s education further includes a diploma in Contemporary Medical Acupuncture from McMaster University as well as full body certification in Active Release Techniques® and Graston® Technique. Kate currently works with athletes of all levels of expertise, and with a wide range of family practice patients. Kate believes that conservative manual therapy is an important part of the broader healthcare system, and can be effective for most people and for a variety of conditions. She has completed several clinical rotations with special populations including those with physical and intellectual disabilities and underprivileged populations both locally and abroad. Kate and Mike continue to serve as the exclusive Active Release and chiropractic treatment providers for the Scotiabank Calgary Marathon.

Dr. Mike Belding Chiropractor, BSc, ART

Originally from Saint John, New Brunswick, Dr. Mike Belding moved to Calgary in 2010. He graduated from the Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College (CMCC) in 2010 as a Doctor of Chiropractic Medicine. In addition to his chiropractic degree, he also completed a Clinical Acupuncture program, which allows him to provide acupuncture treatment in addition to his chiropractic services.

With regards to treatment, Dr. Belding believes in a research based approach that tailors treatment to the specific needs of each individual patient. To this end he has gained certification in Active Release Techniques, Clinical Acupuncture, Graston Technique, and familiarized himself with the latest in Shockwave research. By treating both joints and muscles, patients improve faster and more fully. Dr. Belding also believes in educating his patients, so that they can take the proper steps to live a pain free and active life.

In his spare time, Mike enjoys watching and playing sports, reading, watching movies, and running. He recently completed the Scotiabank Half Marathon, and hopes to run additional races in the years to come. This past year, Mike and Kate served as the exclusive Active Release and chiropractic treatment providers for the 50th Calgary Marathon.

Dr. Linsay Sunderland, Chiropractor, BSCKIN, ART

Dr. Linsay Sunderland utilizes a diversified technique and is certified in Active Release Techniques, Graston Techniques, and KT taping systems.

A graduate of the University of Calgary with a BSc. in Kinesiology in 2004, Dr. Sunderland completed her doctorate of chiropractic medicine at the Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College in Toronto in 2009.

Dr. Sunderland has been a full-time family practitioner in Calgary for the last nine years, with a special focus on treating dance injury and strength and power sports.

A former power-lifter and figure competitor, Dr. Sunderland enjoys music, travel and being active in the outdoors. Her goals in practice are to help patients reach their optimal health by restoring function, providing a compassionate ear and healing hands.
